History of International Islamic University

The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) is the main organization overseeing IIUI Schools. The university was established on the first day of the fifteenth century Hijrah, which corresponds to Muharram 1, 1401 (November 11, 1980). This pivotal moment marks the beginning of a new century, symbolizing the aspirations and hopes of the Muslim Ummah for a revival of Islamic values. The institution was designed to nurture scholars and professionals who are deeply rooted in Islamic ideology, whose character reflects the teachings of Islam, and who are prepared to meet the economic, social, political, technological, and intellectual needs of the Muslim community. The Islamic Research Institute, along with other units such as the Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue, Dawah Academy, Shariah Academy, and Institute of Professional Development, are located within the impressive Faisal Mosque, which covers an area of 189,705 square meters and represents a beacon of international Islamic solidarity and unity.

IIUI Schools' Philosophy

Schools in Pakistan are categorized under two headings: Public and Private schools. The ever-increasing population brings about a dire need for educational institutions. The public sector schools being overcrowded and a majority lacking resources, the population resorts to Private schooling for their children. Focus on modernization and inculcating western values causes apprehensions in parents as they admit their future generations in available private education providers. Parents strongly feel the lack of a strong value base but desire the best available education in terms of quality. ‘IIUI Schools’ offer international standard systems entrenched within a strong value base makes it the first choice of Parents.

Logo Specification

The IIUI Schools creation was within the Grand Faisal Mosque; the colour that appears from the aerial view is light grey, hence the grey shade of Faisal Mosque in the IIUI Schools Logo.

Sunshine yellow immediately makes one feel joyous, and ancients believed that the sun symbolized knowledge as well as light, the brightness of the sun bringing brightness of the mind is our interpretation of explanation for yellow signifying the mind and the intellect.

This signifies IIUI Schools focus on high achievements and performance excellence for students. IIUI Schools logo gives a touch of red that is associated with strength and health of our students and how school strategies will focus on overall development of the child
